Deleting Your Account & App Data

If you no longer wish to use The PWR app and want to delete your account and all associated data, please follow the instructions below.
Important Considerations Before Deleting:
Data is Not Recoverable: Once your account and data are permanently deleted, they cannot be restored.
Locally Stored Data: Your app data is primarily stored locally on your device. If you have previously created a backup of this data to your personal Google Drive or iCloud account, that data is stored and managed by Google or Apple, not by us. To fully remove all your app data, you will also need to manually delete those backups from your Google Drive or iCloud account. For instructions, please refer to:
How to request account and data deletion
To request the deletion of your account and all associated data from our servers, please send an email to: hello@thepwrapp.com
To help us process your request securely and efficiently, please ensure:
You send the email from the address linked to your account. This is essential for us to verify your identity.
The subject line of your email is: "Account Deletion Request"
Special verification for Apple users (if you used "Hide My Email" feature)
If you signed up using Apple's "Hide My Email" feature, you must email us from the private relay email address that Apple assigned to your account (e.g., [your-unique-address]@privaterelay.appleid.com).
Option 1: You can email us directly from your private relay email address (Recommended)
Send your account deletion request from your private relay email address. We will use this to verify your account.
Option 2: If you are unable to email us directly from your private relay email address
Send your initial deletion request from any email address you have access to, clearly stating that you wish to delete your account but are unable to email from your private relay address.
In this email, please provide the private relay email address (e.g., [your-unique-address]@privaterelay.appleid.com) linked to your account.
We will then send a unique confirmation code to that specific private relay email address.
You must then reply to our initial email (the one you sent from any email address) and include the confirmation code you received on your private relay email. This extra step helps us ensure you are the rightful owner of the account when direct reply from the private relay isn't possible.
What Happens After Your Request?
Immediate Deactivation: Upon receiving your verified deletion request, we will begin the process of permanently deleting your server-backed data, including your name, email address (after final confirmation), and your Google profile picture URL (if applicable).
Final Confirmation: To ensure compliance with data protection regulations, your email address will be retained only for the purpose of sending you a final confirmation. Once all your associated data has been permanently purged from our servers and backup systems (typically within 30 days of your verified request), we will send you an email to confirm the complete deletion of your account and data. After this final confirmation, your email address will also be permanently removed from our active database.
Important Note on Re-Registration
Please be aware that our account deletion process permanently removes your account and data from our servers. If you later choose to sign in to The PWR app again using the same Google or Apple account, a new and distinct app account will be created for you.
